2017 seems to be bringing great changes along with it. AT&T’s new venture into the 5G wireless system is one of these groundbreaking innovations.
Austin and Indianapolis will be the two lucky cities to experience the 5G wireless coverage this year. Offering ultra-fast data coverage, AT&T once again manages to get ahead of its competitors.
Initially, these areas will deliver speeds of 400Mbps or more with potential to grow up to 1Gbps by the years end via the combination of other carrier techniques. This is all a part of the larger project called “Indigo” that assures better coverage, speed, connection, and service for AT&T customers. The company hopes to cover 75% of the present network by the year 2020. However, it’s important to note that there is still no 5G phone offered on the market and AT&T’s venture into 5G coverage can be considered an early trial or attempt at a showcase for the carrier company.
